This second book in this series was another great read。 It was action-packed， full of intrigue， twists and turns， excitement， enchantment and was completely captivating！ Joni Campbell， Queen of Formoria， Queen of the Seas， Wyrmrider and wife of the demigod Agwe is starting to settle into her new role as the Formorian Queen， but she's feeling under a great deal of pressure to make sure everything runs smoothly and there are no repercussions following her take over after the events in the first bo This second book in this series was another great read。 It was action-packed， full of intrigue， twists and turns， excitement， enchantment and was completely captivating！ Joni Campbell， Queen of Formoria， Queen of the Seas， Wyrmrider and wife of the demigod Agwe is starting to settle into her new role as the Formorian Queen， but she's feeling under a great deal of pressure to make sure everything runs smoothly and there are no repercussions following her take over after the events in the first book。 Of course， that sense of peacefulness doesn't last for long when a group of undead， zombie sharks attack。。。Not something Joni has had experience of before and neither has anyone else， but to try to solve the problem， she has to gain the help of another Queen， but this queen is no longer in this time， so a bit of time travel， a bit of magic， a bit of changing the course of history soon entails and Joni eventually changes herself in more ways than one。 Help is at hand from friends， both new and old， but will that be enough to get rid of this latest threat to Formoria？ You'll have to read this book to find out！ This was a really great read and just when you think things are going in the right direction， a spanner gets thrown into the works and everything changes and not all for the better either。。。I love the writing style of this author - he creates imaginative， captivating worlds that leave you completely absorbed in them。 The characters are relatable， yet still intriguing enough to want to find out more about them。 I love the fact that other characters from other series in this universe made an appearance as well。 I cannot wait to find out what will happen to Joni and the rest of her group next！ I received a copy of this book from the author with no expectations， but this review is my own honest opinion！ 。。。more

This book felt a little crazy and chaotic， of course only in a good way。 I just momentarily wondered what I had fallen into having just finished reading a quiet， sedate romance。 So zombie sharks， where do I begin？ Lots of laughs， and Joni is right in the middle of things stirring up waves。 The story line will pull the reader in and provide laughter and fun。 Not for the faint-hearted， so bravely turn those pages and enjoy an adventure like none other！

I enjoyed this story as it made me laugh and sigh at the same time。 Joni is having both good and bad days in her personal life and then she ends up dealing with zombie sharks。 The characters get fleshed out more and others form the series and related series pop in a few too。 I enjoyed the mix of genre and the story was interesting and fun to read。 never quite knew what was going to happen next。

“Wyrmrider Vengeance” is the second installment in “The Fomorian Wyrmriders” by Theophilus Monroe。 The story focuses on Joni Campbell， whom readers of Monroe’s previous series already are acquainted to。 Nevertheless， no previous knowledge of the character is strictly necessary to enjoy the Joni’s journey in this series， and enjoy you will， I can heartfully promise you that 😊。 Joni Campbell is a relatable and very credible main character， who downplays her own feelings and empathy with healthy do “Wyrmrider Vengeance” is the second installment in “The Fomorian Wyrmriders” by Theophilus Monroe。 The story focuses on Joni Campbell， whom readers of Monroe’s previous series already are acquainted to。 Nevertheless， no previous knowledge of the character is strictly necessary to enjoy the Joni’s journey in this series， and enjoy you will， I can heartfully promise you that 😊。 Joni Campbell is a relatable and very credible main character， who downplays her own feelings and empathy with healthy doses of sassiness and dark humor， who takes life in stride， for lack of a better option and manages to win the fight to battle another day 😉。 After her previous ordeal Joni is adapting to her position as Queen and successor of King Conand and her marriage to Agwe， which brings all sorts of stumbling steps， being the gods polygamists and Joni a very traditional girl the least of them。 And the danger posed by a merlegion of new awakened zombified sharks the most urgent。 Because the shark-zombie apocalypse is nigh， both at sea and on land， threatening the places Joni loves the more: Fomoria and New Orleans。 While the story is – true to Monroe’s style – very fast-paced and action filled， there is still room to rejoice at the much more very ‘normal’ nuances of Joni’s personality: her being overwhelming with her new state， as well as her deep loyalty for her friends and all those in her care。 Some ‘special appearances’ by other characters in the vast ‘Gates of Eden’ verse are much more welcome， and help to further anker the story （no pun intended） into the general verse。 Another magnificent story from Monroe’s pen， everyone better than the last （I have not idea， how the guys does it， but it someone manages to bottle his genius I’m gladly buying 😉Theophilus Monroe has an uncanny gift to transform mythical sources into vibrant， modern， and yet timeless fantasy。 But this time， he has outdone himself， working like a genie， able to construct a buffet of various very different tropes， that shouldn’t fit with each and yet fit to perfection。 Like the clocks on world famous Dali’s “Persistence of Memory”， Monroe’s story warps out in a surreal canopy of visual sensation that， just as Dali’s painting， has a realistic， perfect， and exact story at its core。 However， the real genie consists in captivating the reader at first sentence， with a tale that will have you holding your breath for extended period of time， very fitting indeed for an underwater world 😊， and will entice you from the very first page with full-fleshed characters， credible and relatable， a riveting plot， mesmerizing twists， all wrapped up in perfect delivered in Monroe’s carefully constructed narrative， and captivating writing style。“The Formorian Wyrmriders” forms part of Monroe’s original “Gates of Eden” universe， which loosely borrows Arthurian tropes and transfer them organically into a modern urban fantasy that spans centuries， crossing realms and blurs the boundaries between reality and legend and transforms them into a veritable smørrebrød of action， unexpected twists， wonderful characters and mind-blowing descriptions， garnished with a good dose of magic some sprinkles of mythical lore and some paranormal romance on the side， and served with very well-crafted， with an accurate world building， interesting characters， captivating writing style and carefully editing。 。。。more

I always felt a special affinity for Joni， when I first met her in a previous series and after reading Wyrmrider Ascending， I was really excited to read how she her story evolved。 In the 2nd of the series， we get to see how she's adjusting to being queen and her new marriage。 I just adore how Theo managed to portray her as normal person， one who is overwhelmed by her duty， who loves ， feels inadequate from all the responsibility and all the emotions that are so real。 And her character is so cool I always felt a special affinity for Joni， when I first met her in a previous series and after reading Wyrmrider Ascending， I was really excited to read how she her story evolved。 In the 2nd of the series， we get to see how she's adjusting to being queen and her new marriage。 I just adore how Theo managed to portray her as normal person， one who is overwhelmed by her duty， who loves ， feels inadequate from all the responsibility and all the emotions that are so real。 And her character is so cool， she's witty and funny， she can shift from mermaid to human to dragon！ AND she Merlin's mother， yes， THE Merlin！ I was thrilled that Nico and Ramon featured in this book and even our favourite Vampire witch makes an appearance。 That is motivation to read the previous series to find out more， but not a necessity， the story flows smoothly and one never feels that anything is lacking。 I love the interaction of Joni with her Wyrm， the warmth and caring they feel for one another is beautifully created。 One of my favourite character has to be Chad totally wacky！ In fact， the entire book is a fascinating story， going back and forth in time， Joni tries to stop a Zombie Apocalypse， both in the ocean and for the humans。 Just as she thinks she's managed to avert disaster， she faces another obstacle， this one so huge， it literally changes her！ I don't want to give anything away， so I'll just say， if you enjoy being engaged and entertained and meeting interesting unusual characters， this one is for you！ Great plot， great execution， great read！I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more
